Thriving Together: Investing in the Future of Big Lake Schools

At Big Lake Schools, our mission is to challenge, educate, and inspire all students to reach their highest level of achievement in academics, athletics, and the arts. We are committed to continually identifying opportunities to improve education and have worked hard to make investments in our schools that our staff, students and community believe are important.

Over the last few years, school leaders have identified several key areas that challenge our ability to meet the needs of all students, including a growing demand for special education programming and services and space for physical education, athletics, and community education and events.

To protect essential curriculum and programming, meet the growing demand for special education, and provide the space needed to support student activities and community education and events, Big Lake Schools will present voters with a three-question referendum during the general election on Tuesday, November 5.

The proposed plan aims to address these needs and sustain current investments in education while keeping the school tax rate as stable as possible for residents. We are committed to upholding the high standard of education provided to students in Big Lake, employing careful financial stewardship to enhance our curriculum, programs, and resources, to meet the needs of our students.
